What information do we collect and how do we use it?

When you submit an inquiry or order airline tickets, we need to know your name, e-mail address, mailing address, credit card number, expiration date, and billing address (if purchasing with a credit card). Because we use a range of suppliers to process and fulfill your order, we need to share certain information about you and your itinerary to provide you with information (such as prices) and to process and fulfill your order. We cannot provide certain information or arrange flights for you without entering information about you in travel industry databases, and we cannot control how airlines and/or reservation services may use that information. In particular, personal information about you which we enter in reservations may be passed to government authorities (and by them to other third parties) by airlines and/or reservation services, possibly without our knowledge or consent. ( Click here for more information . In addition, we normally require a photocopy of the information page of your passport before a sale can be completed.

When you use services such as TripJournal and TripMail, we need to know your name, your e-mail address (if you have one), and may require additional information. You can choose whether or not to make this information available to other users. In order to ensure a level of security, we provide password protection for TripJournal, TripMail, and other features of our site, but no password or Web-based security technology is foolproof. We recommend that you change your password often, and we cannot guarantee the security or privacy of information you choose to make available or transmit to others through any feature of our site. Any and all information you provide in TripTalk is available to anyone.

At various areas through our Web site, and during certain promotions, we may ask for personal information such as your email address, mailing address, and/or phone and fax numbers. You are never required to provide this information, but to participate in certain features or promotions, you may be required to provide specific personal information.

When you enter a contest or other promotional feature, we may ask for your name, address, and e-mail address so we can administer the contest and notify winners.

We may monitor customer traffic patterns and site usage to help us develop the design and layout of the site.

We may also use the information we collect to occasionally notify you about important functionality changes to the Web site, new Airtreks.com services, and/or special offers we think you'll find valuable.
