Route notes
Why this routing works
This five-week economy itinerary is built as a continuous eastbound loop from Italy through Asia, down to Australia, then across the Pacific to the United States before returning to Bologna. The stop sequence keeps the trip moving in one direction rather than doubling back between regions.
The pacing is fairly even, with most stops set at three to five nights: 5 in Tokyo, 4 in Seoul, 3 in Hong Kong, 4 in Hanoi, 4 in Manila, 5 in Sydney, 5 in Honolulu, and 5 in New York City. That creates a pattern of short city stays linked by medium- and long-haul flights, with the longest intercontinental transitions saved for the second half of the route.
Ticketing this as one multi-stop itinerary connects nine flown sectors in a single chain: Bologna-Tokyo-Seoul-Hong Kong-Hanoi-Manila-Sydney-Honolulu-New York City-Bologna. There are no surface sectors or open jaws in the routing, so every stop is connected by air and the return to Italy is closed back to the origin city.
