Route notes
Why this routing works
This routing starts in Denver, shifts overland to Palm Springs, and then uses Los Angeles as the long-haul gateway into the Pacific. The first international segment is staged through Papeete with an overnight, followed by five nights in Bora Bora and a same-day return through Papeete before continuing onward.
Honolulu is used as the key connecting point on both sides of Pago Pago, creating a practical mid-Pacific sequence rather than forcing a backtrack to the mainland between island stops. That structure keeps the itinerary in a continuous loop: French Polynesia first, then Hawaii, then American Samoa, then back through Hawaii to Denver.
Ticketing-wise, this is a multi-stop economy trip with one overland sector built into the plan and one zero-night transit in Papeete. Over three weeks, the stop pattern is paced with short staging stays and longer stays where the routing allows, with February departure timing placed in the January-March season window.
