Route notes
Why this routing works
This itinerary is built as a single multi-stop loop from Frankfurt, first breaking the outbound journey in Kuala Lumpur before continuing on to Auckland and then Colombo, with the return to Frankfurt at the end. The stop order keeps the route moving in one direction without backtracking to an earlier stop.
The timing is weighted toward longer stays in Auckland and Colombo, making Kuala Lumpur the short opening stop at 6 nights and the later sectors the main time blocks of the trip. Across 13 weeks, that pacing reduces the number of flight days while still linking three distinct stopovers on one ticket.
In economy class, the structure suits travelers who want a long trip with relatively few flight segments: four flown legs in total, including the final return to Frankfurt. Departing in December, the itinerary is set up as a quarter-length journey rather than a fast multi-city hop.
