Route notes
Why this routing works
This 17-week business-class itinerary runs westbound from Frankfurt across the Pacific, using Vancouver as a short transit stop before continuing to Christchurch and Auckland. From there it shifts into Australia for a sequence through Melbourne and Tasmania before moving inland and then north toward Southeast and East Asia on the way back to Europe.
The Australia section mixes several shorter flight legs with one surface sector: Launceston is followed by overland travel to Hobart, which is the point reached overland before the next flight continues onward. Ayers Rock, Alice Springs and Cairns are then sequenced as a domestic run that bridges Tasmania to the onward long-haul sectors.
After Australia, the ticket continues with longer stays in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Taipei, which spaces the intercontinental flying across the back half of the trip. Tokyo appears as a layover rather than a stopover, keeping the final return to Frankfurt on the same overall routing without adding another extended stay.
With 15 routing points including the return to Frankfurt, this is a multi-stop ticket built around a steady progression rather than backtracking. The longest stays are concentrated in Auckland, Singapore and Taipei, while brief stops and layovers are used to connect the larger regional sections efficiently.
