Route notes
Why this routing works
This round-the-world itinerary is built as a long eastbound sequence from Los Angeles through Tokyo, Bangkok, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City, Taipei, and Seoul before resuming by air from Istanbul to Lisbon and from London to Dublin, then returning to Los Angeles. The structure keeps the flight path progressive across Asia into Europe while leaving two clear overland breaks in the middle and later stages of the trip.
The timing is notable for its longer stays rather than rapid stopovers: 21 nights in Tokyo, 24 in Bangkok, 12 in Jakarta, 26 in Ho Chi Minh City, 27 in Taipei, and 96 in Seoul. That pacing makes the ticket logic well suited to travelers who want a fixed flight framework but substantial time on the ground between segments.
Because Istanbul is reached overland from Seoul, and London is reached overland from Lisbon, this is not a fully flight-only chain. Those gaps give flexibility inside the broader RTW ticket while preserving the larger intercontinental order. In practice, this kind of routing works best when the long-haul backbone is locked in first and the overland sections are treated as deliberate breaks between ticketed air segments.
With departure in November and a total duration of 37 weeks, the itinerary spans multiple seasons and regions on a single economy ticket. The published price range of USD 2,292 to USD 3,496 reflects the route as a sample RTW framework rather than a single fixed fare point.
