Route notes
Why this routing works
This 3-week multi-stop itinerary is built around a long-haul outbound from Madison to India, an open sequence within India, then a return to the U.S. for two domestic stops before ending back in Madison. The routing uses New Delhi twice: first as the international entry point for a 2-night stop, then again as the departure gateway after 7 nights in Jaipur and a final 1-night buffer before the flight back to the United States.
The India segment is sequenced efficiently for ticketing because Jaipur sits between two Delhi touchpoints rather than requiring a more complicated open-jaw structure. That keeps the international long-haul anchored on New Delhi while allowing a full week in Jaipur. The 1-night return in Delhi also provides timing separation between the India domestic segment and the U.S.-bound flight.
On the U.S. side, the itinerary continues as a true multi-stop rather than a simple return, with 8 nights in Santa Ana followed by 6 nights in Portland before the final leg to Madison. In business class, this kind of structure is well suited to travelers who want the long-haul and multi-segment ticket wrapped into one coordinated plan across both international and domestic portions.
