Route notes
Why this routing works
This 6-week round-the-world itinerary sequences cleanly eastbound from Madison to Munich and Lyon, then continues long-haul to Denpasar Bali before returning to the US through New York City and Boston. The stop order keeps the trip moving in one direction rather than backtracking between regions.
From a ticketing perspective, this is a true multi-stop RTW structure with two European stops, one Southeast Asia stop, and a domestic US finish before returning to Madison. That makes it a good fit for travelers who want long-haul business-class segments bundled into one itinerary instead of pricing each leg separately.
With a July departure in a Jul-Sep travel window, timing is concentrated into a single 6-week span rather than spread across multiple seasons. The final New York City to Boston to Madison sequence also lets the long intercontinental return be separated from the last domestic segments, which can simplify the closing leg of the route.
