Route notes
Why this routing works
This routing is built as a round-trip from Merida with one open-jaw element in India: arrival into New Delhi is handled overland, then the ticket resumes with a flight from Calcutta back to Merida. That structure works well when part of the trip between origin and India is being arranged separately, while still keeping the long-haul return on one business-class itinerary.
Within a 5-week timeframe, the sequence is straightforward: start in Merida, enter the itinerary again in New Delhi after the overland segment, continue onward to Calcutta, and then return to Merida. Using Delhi before Calcutta keeps the India segment ordered cleanly on the ticket and avoids backtracking within the flown portion of the route.
Because this is priced as a business-class round-trip rather than a simple out-and-back, the value is in how the ticket accommodates a non-flown gap and then reconnects the remaining sectors. For a September departure in the Jul-Sep season, the published sample range is USD 6,496 to 9,909 for the full routing shown.
