Route notes
Why this routing works
This six-week itinerary is structured as an open-jaw Europe multi-stop from Minneapolis, starting with 10 nights in Dublin and 8 nights in Bergen before shifting overland into Croatia. That break between Bergen and Zagreb separates the northern and southern portions of the route and gives flexibility in how the middle section is connected.
From Zagreb, the ticket resumes with a short intra-Europe hop to Dubrovnik, then continues west to Madrid for a final 10-night stop before the return to Minneapolis. Sequencing the trip this way keeps the long-haul flights at the beginning and end, while the shorter European segments sit in the middle where schedule options are typically broader.
Because this is built as a multi-stop itinerary rather than a simple round-trip, it accommodates both fixed flight sectors and an intentional surface segment. That makes it a practical fit for travelers who want ticketed structure on the long-haul and key regional flights, without needing every movement in Europe to be by air.
The route is priced from USD 1,978 to USD 2,589 in economy, based on August departure timing within the July to September season window. With three longer stays already defined and only a few flight segments to manage, the pacing is relatively measured for a six-week trip.
