Route notes
Why this routing works
This itinerary is structured as a transatlantic open-jaw: Phoenix to Funchal first, then onward to Marrakech, with the return beginning from Faro rather than the same city. That setup gives the ticket flexibility for a surface segment between Marrakech and Faro while still keeping the long-haul flights on one multi-stop plan.
The timing is straightforward for a longer trip. Ten nights in Funchal and seven nights in Marrakech create two defined air segments early in the itinerary, while the remaining time in a 9-week schedule can absorb onward overland movement before the final Portugal flights. Ending with Faro-Lisbon-Phoenix keeps the last international leg anchored to a major gateway before the transatlantic return.
In economy, this is the kind of routing where sequencing matters more than adding extra flight sectors. Starting in Portugal, moving to Morocco, then returning to Portugal overland avoids backtracking on the ticket itself. With a December departure and a sold range of USD 1,724 to USD 2,630, the route shows how a simple multi-stop structure can cover multiple points across two countries plus the U.S. origin and return.
