Route notes
Why this routing works
This round-the-world routing uses a westbound sequence from Portland through Europe into East Asia before returning across the Pacific. The stop pattern spreads three weeks across three cities, with the longest stay in Amsterdam, followed by Shenzhen, then a shorter finish in Tokyo before the nonstop homeward region crossing back to Portland.
From a ticketing standpoint, this is a clean RTW structure: one North America departure, one European stop, two Asia stops, and a return to the origin city. That makes it a practical fit for travelers who want a true around-the-world flow rather than backtracking between regions.
Timing is balanced toward longer stays early in the trip and a brief final stop at the end. With 8 nights in Amsterdam and 6 in Shenzhen, the route leaves room for recovery from long-haul flying before closing with 3 nights in Tokyo. An October start places the itinerary in the October-to-December travel window shown in the fare range.
In economy class, the published sample price range of $1,754 to $2,675 frames this as a relatively accessible multi-stop RTW for the distance covered. The routing is straightforward, with just three stop cities, which helps keep the overall plan manageable within a 3-week schedule.
