Why this routing works
This itinerary sequences three international stops across two weeks, moving west from San Francisco to Osaka, then onward to Budapest and Lisbon before ending in Philadelphia. The pacing puts the shortest stay first and leaves the longest stop at the end of the overseas portion before the final transatlantic return.
As a multi-stop ticket, the route links East Asia and Europe in a single progression rather than doubling back between regions. That keeps the trip moving in one direction, with each long-haul segment setting up the next city in sequence.
The stop pattern is weighted toward Europe, with 3 nights in Osaka followed by 6 nights in Budapest and 7 nights in Lisbon. In a July departure window, that distribution gives the route a front-loaded long-haul start and a steadier finish through the final two cities.
