Why this routing works
This round-the-world routing runs westbound from Savannah to Casablanca, then continues down to Cape Town and Johannesburg before crossing the Indian Ocean to Ho Chi Minh City. From there it steps into Australia at Melbourne and finishes the Pacific portion in New Zealand before returning to Savannah.
The stop pattern spreads the trip across six cities with longer stays in South Africa and Vietnam, while keeping the intercontinental jumps to a clear sequence of one-way flights. That structure avoids backtracking and keeps each major long-haul leg moving forward around the globe.
In New Zealand, the ticket uses a surface sector between Christchurch and Auckland rather than a flight on the same ticket. That means Christchurch is the final flown point in New Zealand, Auckland is reached overland, and the onward long-haul flight home resumes from Auckland.
