Hub and Connections
CPH (Copenhagen) is the primary hub. ARN (Stockholm Arlanda) and OSL (Oslo Gardermoen) are secondary hubs. CPH offers the best connection options with MCT of 45 minutes for Schengen connections and 60 minutes for non-Schengen. SAS joined SkyTeam in September 2024 (previously Star Alliance). SkyTeam partner connections now building at CPH.

Bags check through on SkyTeam itineraries. SAS Go Light fares do not include checked baggage. SAS Go includes 1x23kg. Interline agreements being rebuilt with SkyTeam partners (former Star Alliance agreements phased out). Codeshare with Air France-KLM group on key European routes.
Terminal Notes
CPH Terminal 3 for SAS operations with a domestic annex. ARN Terminal 5 (domestic) and Terminal 2 (international). OSL main terminal for all flights. SAS lounges at CPH, ARN, and OSL. CPH is well-designed with short walking distances. All three airports have efficient transfer processes.
Operational Notes
Winter weather can affect all three hubs but Scandinavian airports handle snow well with minimal closures. SAS emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2024 with new ownership and joined SkyTeam. Pilot and crew shortages have caused some seasonal disruptions. Summer schedules expand to Mediterranean and US destinations. SAS Go Light is their unbundled product competing with Ryanair and Norwegian.
