Route notes
Why this routing works
This six-week economy itinerary is built as a straightforward outbound arc from Bozeman into Southeast Asia, then works west to east and back north before returning to the US. The stop order keeps the trip moving in one direction through Bangkok, Bali, Da Nang, and Chiang Mai rather than doubling back between cities.
Timing is distributed unevenly by design, with 6 nights in Bangkok, 25 in Bali, then 7 nights each in Da Nang and Chiang Mai. That longer middle stay turns Bali into the anchor stop, while the surrounding week-long stays create shorter segments before the final transpacific return to Bozeman.
As a single multi-stop ticket, the route links four Southeast Asian stops in sequence and locks in the long-haul framework before departure. That structure is useful on a December start, when availability across multiple international legs can be harder to align if booked one segment at a time.
