Route notes
Why this routing works
This 4-week economy itinerary moves in a clear east-to-west sequence: Hong Kong to Shanghai, onward to Beijing, then across to Osaka and Tokyo before the final sector to Copenhagen. Grouping the China stops first and the Japan stops second keeps the regional flying clustered before the long-haul finish into Europe.
The stop lengths are weighted toward the later part of the trip, with 4 nights in Shanghai, 4 in Beijing, 7 in Osaka, and 14 in Tokyo. That pacing creates a front half built around shorter stays and more frequent flight changes, followed by a longer stretch in Japan before the last intercontinental leg.
As ticketing, this works as a straightforward multi-stop open route rather than a return pattern. It avoids backtracking within East Asia, and the final arrival in Copenhagen removes the need to loop back to the starting point on the same ticket.
