Route notes
Why this routing works
This six-week economy itinerary is built as a continuous westbound loop from Liberia through New York City, Tokyo, Shanghai, Hanoi, Bangkok, Istanbul and Zurich before returning to Costa Rica. The sequence keeps the long-haul crossings spread across the trip rather than clustering them at the beginning or end.
Stop lengths do most of the pacing work here. New York City, Hanoi, Bangkok and Istanbul are short stays of three to four nights, while Tokyo gets five nights and the longest ground time sits in Shanghai and Zurich. That mix creates a route with several fast connections between regions but with two longer resets built into the middle and later stages.
Because every sector in the routing is flown, there are no surface gaps or open-jaw transfers to manage between ticketed cities. That makes the plan straightforward to follow: one directional chain across Asia into Europe, then a final transatlantic return to Liberia.
