Route notes
Why this routing works
This two-week itinerary is built around Alicante, with Rome used as the connecting point in both directions. The routing keeps the long-haul pattern simple: Manila to Rome, onward to Spain, then back through Rome before returning to Manila.
The stop timing is structured as one night in Rome on the outbound and one night in Rome on the return, framing an 11-night stay in Alicante. That sequencing breaks up the Europe-bound and homebound transcontinental travel rather than stacking every connection into a same-day turn.
As a multi-stop economy ticket, the plan preserves a clear out-and-back structure within Europe while avoiding a separate one-way setup between Spain and Italy. Using the same gateway city in both directions can make the overall sequence easier to manage across a short two-week trip.
