Route notes
Why this routing works
This routing forms a clean westbound loop from San Francisco into East Asia, onward to South Asia, then back through Southeast Asia before returning to the US. The stop order keeps each long-haul segment attached to a substantive stay rather than stacking multiple short connections together.
Within a two-week trip, the timing is weighted toward Colombo with nine nights, while Hong Kong and Singapore work as shorter bookend stops of four and three nights. That pacing gives the middle stop the most ground time and uses the other two cities as natural transition points between the longest intercontinental sectors.
Because the itinerary is ticketed as a single multi-stop sequence, the route avoids backtracking and keeps the flown path straightforward: San Francisco to Hong Kong, Hong Kong to Colombo, Colombo to Singapore, and Singapore back to San Francisco. October departure timing places the trip in an autumn departure window with a compact overall duration.
