Route notes
Why this routing works
This 10-week multi-stop routing uses three surface sectors to link nearby points without adding extra backtracking by air. The pattern is Toronto to Sydney, overland to Newcastle, onward to Denpasar Bali, back to Newcastle, overland to Brisbane, then across to Queenstown, overland to Auckland, and finally back to Toronto.
The longest ground stay shown is 18 nights in Denpasar Bali, which gives the middle of the trip a clear anchor before the routing turns back through Australia and on to New Zealand. That sequencing keeps the flown sectors focused on the longer jumps while the shorter Australia and New Zealand transitions are handled on the ground.
Ticketing-wise, this is built as an open-jaw style multi-stop itinerary rather than a simple out-and-back. Sydney to Newcastle, Newcastle to Brisbane, and Queenstown to Auckland are all surface gaps, so the flight coupon sequence resumes from the next departure point after each overland segment.
With a December departure and economy cabin, the pacing is spread across a broad Pacific arc rather than packed into quick stopovers. The return from Auckland to Toronto closes the loop after the Australia, Indonesia, and New Zealand sectors are completed in sequence.
