SkyTeam member airlines, rated by the people who book them

SkyTeam used to sell a round-the-world fare called Go Round the World. Sales stopped in 2022 and never resumed, and by December 2023 the alliance had replaced its booking page with a closure notice. SkyTeam's own FAQ now says it has closed the programme, pointing to travelers shifting toward point-to-point booking. The regional Go Passes went earlier, on 1 January 2019.

So there is no SkyTeam equivalent of the oneworld Explorer or the Star Alliance Round the World pass. Those two are the only alliance round-the-world fares still on sale.

This changes how your trip is built, not whether we can build it. We still use every SkyTeam airline on round-the-world and complex multi-stop international itineraries, priced as a custom ticket from individual fare components instead of as a single alliance product.

In practice that often works in your favor. A custom ticket is not bound by the alliance rules on the other two passes: you can fly whichever carriers suit each leg, backtrack where the trip calls for it, start and finish in different cities, and skip an ocean. What you give up is the single-fare simplicity of a pass.
